Giving Hope International(GHI), in collaboration with Giving Children Hope, is sending computers to Oyibi, Ghana to be distributed to Valley View University (link: www.vvu.edu.gh), and local grade schools. 100 computers have been donated to Global Operations and Development/Giving Children Hope (GO&D/GCH) and will be delivered to GHI's Buena Park headquarters next week.
The computers, along with soccer uniforms, toys, school supplies, and vacation Bible school kits, will be shipped to Oyibi and distributed among schools in need. Thirty computers have been allocated for Valley View University, a Seventh-Day Adventist institution serving students from 15 African countries, while the other seventy will be used to create computer labs in local grade schools.
Funds are currently being raised to cover shipping and transportation costs to Ghana.
